We’ll start with an initial consultation, in order to introduce ourselves and learn more about what you are looking for. At this time you can tell us about yourself and/or your business, mention any mandatory elements that must be included in your design and ask any questions you might have about us or about your project in general. From our experience the best designs are created when we know the most about the client we are working with, so it is best for you to give us as much information as possible before we start the conceptual process. We will also send you a creative brief at this time that you will be able to fill out that will help us learn about you and your business.
Once we have learned everything we can from you we put the pencil to the paper. We brainstorm, we design and we deliver. Within 10 business days you will receive your design concepts. At this time you are given the opportunity to review your designs, and sometimes this is all it takes and you are able to simply select a design. Of course we would love to tell you that this is how every project ends up, but in reality it’s not. So during this stage you will also be able to provide us with any feedback and or revisions that you may have to the concept that you select. We will work together with you to refine your design and create the perfect representation of your business or special day. If we are developing multiple components, you must approve one step before we move on to the next. For example, to avoid any maintenance fees you must approve your website design prior to development.
We do not require that you host your website with us, but do offer an affordable hosting server for your convenience.
CONCEPT VS. REVISION
A concept is defined as a new idea or whole new design. A revision is defined as any minor change to your selected design concept. Some examples of revisions are changing the color, font, layout or placement of your design. Each package comes with a certain number of concepts and revisions (specified on a per project basis in your contract).
WHAT IF I DON’T CHOOSE ONE OF THE DESIGN CONCEPTS?
Because we take the time to learn as much about your personality, style, target and business goals, it rarely happens and due to the custom nature of our designs, no design refunds will be given once the work has begun. If this issue does arise additional design concepts will be available to you at a discounted rate.
HOW LONG WILL MY PROJECT TAKE?
The initial design concept is delivered within 10 business days of the project start date. After this step every project is different. Quick review of your concepts and revisions, and reasonable response time is the key to finishing your project on a desired schedule. We pride ourselves in our quick turnaround time and together with your help, will bring your designs to reality.
HOW DO I GET ALL OF MY WEBSITE CONTENT TO YOU?
Once you have kicked off your project with us you will be given login information to use on the Doodle Dog website – where you will login and upload all of your content. All photos should be zipped into one file and uploaded as one package. All text for your site should be placed into a word document and uploaded in the same location.
PAYMENT & CONTRACT
Before we start your project, we ask that you sign the contract and return it via email. You can also return your contract by mail at: 2503 Guara Drive, Cedar Park, Texas 78613. Each package is typically divided into a manageable payment plan, your first payment will be considered your deposit. With your contract you will find a credit card authorization form that will need to be complete prior to starting your project. All other payment terms will be detailed in your contract.
All websites and blogs that are completed with a Doodle Dog design must include the legal line at the bottom stating “Website by Doodle Dog.” This line must include a link to the Doodle Dog website at all times and be left on the site.
Once final approval has been made on your project and your final payment has been made you will receive all of your files.
HOW DO I PRINT MY FILES
Once you have approved your files we will send you the print ready file types (typically we send jpg, png, and pdf files –but are happy to send you additional file types upon request). Once you have your files – they are yours to use as you wish. You can print them with any printer of your choice, and if you do not have a printer in mind you can borrow ours. Refunds are determined based upon the stage of your specific project. Due to the custom nature of our work, no refunds are permitted after development has begun on any project.
